Just a thought, as if things weren't bad enough for them they could be looking at a season without champions league money where they need (yet another) squad rebuild.

Sure it will free up a lot of wages but they would need to spend at least £400-£500 million to get anything like the quality they would need, and that is on the low side to be honest.
Shouldn't be a problem now they've scrapped their new training ground at Tatton, that's a few hundred million they're now not spending... LOL

First half, they certainly caused us some problems, especially down our left. But second half we absolutely destroyed them and they couldn't handle us, albeit not many teams would have coped with us today.

Highly likely they will need to replace and will receive nest to nothing for them.

Given they have been one of the biggest culprits in driving up transfer fees they are in a real mess.

And even then they are stuck with the likes of Fred, MaGuire, McTomminay, Lindelof.

They are in a world of trouble.
Let's see???

Gk - de gea is alright, can be patchy. If they want a possession coach there's a minimum of £50m -£80m
Rb - both garbage, £50m-£90m
Lb - I think is reasonable.
Cb - Jones, lindelof & Bailey either injury prone and/or shite. Slab head & varane good start but need a leader. £50m - £80m
Dm - Fred & mcsummat, both garbage £70m - £100m
Am - pogba, gone. Fernandes, no discipline. Back up £30m - £50m. 1st choice £50m - £100m.
Lw - sancho will come good. Rushford? Martial? Not for me, so a back up £30m - £70m.
Rw - elanga? Not ready so 1st teamer £40m - £100m.
St - Ronaldo, think he's going. Cavani, the same plus injuries. Martial, gone. Rushford, looks finished, maybe a decent backup. 1st teamer circa £60m - £150m.

Whats left? Matic & mata, finished. Greenwood, wasted talent, should be career over depending how desperate utd are. Can't think of any others worth mentioning.

So best case scenario £380m unless a few bargains are found. Worst case is £600m if they buy right 1st time. Truth is its probably in between but their transfer policy of the last decade hasn't been encouraging.

They're in a world of shit, they haven't the pull of 90s or 00s utd so wages will be extortionate especially with sancho on 300k. I can see at least another decade of fighting for 4th for them. Even if a big owner comes in, their stadium needs work, players contracts, etc means ffp scrutiny.
