It's the fact that it wasnt his portion of tax that grates. He is fine spending other peoples money just not his own. the rich get richer as they say.

The MEN article that Ric has linked mentioned City and Leeds in a relegation battle. Seems impossible that City were ever involved in relegation battles, it must be my selective memory again.

I don‘t know a lot about it but he seems to have done a lot of good for poorer kidS regarding free school meals and some of his tie ups with brands stipulate payments to some of the good causes he supports...

Of course the criticism will come if he’s picked up a lot more sponsorship as a result of his profile being raised by his philanthropy.
