I get why fans of teams might think City are big spending cheque book waving ruiners of football (based on what the media write although obviously I would disagree) but to be a United fan and hold yourselves and Liverpool as the standard bearers of how to do it properly is self delusion on a grand scale

They are reported to have had a mini revolution at youth level, with a new head coach and improved facilities. Can’t vouch for the truth of that.
