Sad bastard wants to go back through Man Us history before coming up with theories.........the extra 2 days added on against Sheff Wednesday 1993 .......the title winning game against Boro ........the game when they beat the unbeatable Arsenal side ..........he want to come out with that bollocks then I bet over the decades you could counter act it with hundreds of examples
I love the second line!

I can still remember where I was listening to the commentary.

Kenny saved something like 11 times.
I remember thinking why does Kenny have the games of his lives against us typical City. I think this is a very low from Rooney he is a manager of a football team he should act like it.

Funny I always thought that Alex took this well maybe they didn't
Have you forgotten that the pisscan said all the games should finish at the same time on the last day.

So, yeah, he took it really well.

And don't forget the Derby when they scored their winning goal in the SEVENTH minute of time added on when it was slated as FOUR. Who was standing next to the fourth official with his arm twisted up his back.

I reckon when rags bought him he was 25 not 17

Funny you should say that. 20 years ago I happened to be working alongside Merseyside police and a couple of them, both Everton fans, claimed that Rooney was brought up in a travelling family and it was some considerable time after the event that his birth was registered.

They swore it was true. But then they were Merseyside police officers.

Really? They are a strange breed in that part of the world.

You actually get fined if you register over 6 weeks after the event. There was a slight allowance made for COVID during the early lockdown period which obviously not applicable here. Don't know what the rules were 30 odd years ago but certainly have to register within 6 weeks for a while.

I'm... ahem... 53... but this weekend I've had 2 complete strangers (without paying) try and guess my age...and they both said 42 (I must have life, universe and everything).

result!

Edit: oh, and yes, i'm younger looking than Rooney, even in my own eyes.
Have you been on that programme "How to look 10 years younger in 10 days"?

Rooney looks about 50
To be honest he looks seriously unhealthy for his age. He is in a shocking state for a recently-retired professional athlete. I am aware he has alcohol problems but he does have the look of someone who is involved in substance abuse as well. I am not being flippant because it is look I can recognise in people. I have a gut feeling he is going down the same route as Paul Gascoigne. Much as I disliked him as a player I would not wish that on anyone.
