Who else was in for Sancho or this Real player? Signing players no one else is interested in.

Yeah I always judge a player from a performance over a year ago. He was shite in that game and hopefully he will be there, he is better than what they had though so it’s an improvement sadly.

Very few reports anyone else is in for Kane and Grealish, the odd chelsea Kane story but they’re linked to every striker and we know he probably wouldn’t go there along with them not selling to them. Deals are getting done for them turds down the road, that was the posters point and they are correct which is annoying.

On Varane, why would you leave Madrid who contend for the title every year and get past the group stages of the champions league? To then move to a team that hasn’t won the league for 8 years, doesn’t consistently qualify for the champions league and and ends up in the Europa league when they do? Wonder what they are paying him?
 
Both is a huge upgrade for them imo. Many underestimating Varane here, but compared to Lindelof he will bring stability and playing from the back option.

Still their biggest weak link imo is Solskjaer, and luckily he signed an extension.

just hope Pep will take the derbies bit mor seriously than last few seasons.

There was an article the other day saying the rags have offered to double his wage.....apparently on £197k a week at Madrid.

As they like ‘history’, here’s one — they’ve made the four most expensive signings in league history.

Ofcourse spending is not inherently bad, but they like to go on about “right way” and “earning it”.

Never ever understood this reasoning from the likes of them and liverpool. We earned the money so are allowed to spend it. You got given it so arent.

I’m a Liverpool guy but I actually agree with this. I break with my fans that complain about spending. I also worry about the Henry out folks—and the same fans don’t want “a plaything” and the same fans demand “announce X 50 M signing”.

We are spending on wages and contracts but fans only see marquee transfer fees. More important than spending is having a vision and knowing what you are doing.

So keeping this on topic, ideally they don’t get a new midfielder. I don’t like the idea of Greenwood becoming a star, and a new DM added to their midfield.

Ole has been subpar but he’s young. Hopefully he doesn’t learn or adapt. They really really need to NOT win the league in the foreseeable future. A pity about Leicester two seasons ago, they could’ve knocked them out of the champions league (guess others hoped they’d do same to us last season).
