Unlike in the UK, they have it all their own way in America, especially the Sports Franchise owners.Try talking to an American billionaire who's investment and long-term revenue returns are at stake. To be honest I think sectarianism is a major factor at play. I heard (from a very good source) that Spurs were one of the clubs which could have been sold to Sheikh Mansour but there was a pretty vicious rebuff from the Spurs end at the prospect of selling to Arabs. It's sad that in 2021 this sort of racial/religious hatred is still part of the global business landscape.
