No club gets a percentage on shirts as far as I know. The club will negotiate with a brand for how many years at a fixed price. You could sign 10 Messi's after a shirt agreement, you'd still get the same money wise. The only time it would change is when you negotiate another deal when the contract is finished. Also, the people buying shirts with the latest shiny name on the back would be buying a shirt anyway. The likes of Messi would probably cost a club shop money in the long run for using less letters. Not a chance. Lets say United get a very generous 20% per shirt and let's also remember a shirt cost is the cost the manufacturer sells it for as they don't set selling prices.
So say an average shirt sells into the market for £30 and United get 20% that's £6 a shirt.
To get anywhere near £850K a week they would have to sell over 7 million shirts annually.
Never in a million tears
Add Pogba and Fred and it nicely leaves them one for the inevitable coup de grâce.How dare people on this forum poke fun at United, they took Sanchez from us, they took Maguire and then took Ronaldo. What more can they possibly do for us? Talk about taking a bullet… Close to emptying a round. Absolute shit show of a club, and it’s brilliant. In Ole we trust.
I have to hand it to Txiki and Pep. Their ability to dodge transfer bullets is becoming legendary! How dare people on this forum poke fun at United, they took Sanchez from us, they took Maguire and then took Ronaldo.
