I would absolutely love it if they hired Mancini. It would be Mourinho all over again - a good season with a league cup, then two seasons of arguing, backstabbing and going backwards before an acrimonious sacking leaving the next manager with a nightmare job.

Couldnt imagine Mancini tolerating Ferguson's lingering presence. Would hate him to end up there, would be like an ex you didnt really want to break up with ending with someone they are too good for and you hate.

can you switch down from red to yellow through VAR? Even if you can I think it is easier to show the yellow and go up with the punishment on review

Yes, this happened last night in the Girona vs Zaragoza game, Girona midfielder red carded after ref thought he’d elbowed an opponent, 2 mins later after a check it was downgraded to yellow
