There’s an argument to be had that Rashford has the largest disparity between hype and reality there’s ever been for a player.Neville crying for Rashford to come on the entire Match. He came on in the 56th minute.
Of the 40 minutes he was actually on the pitch he touched the ball NINE times (and 3 of them were in the same attack)
No Shots on targets, no key passes, 2 sprints, 2 completed passes.
Is that the kind of contribution you were looking for Neville?
Beckham was massively overhyped (I remember that Silly Sally off BBC Breakfast one morning saying that Beckham was the best footballer of all time!) but he was still a very good player.
Rashford is massively overhyped but he isn’t even good. He’d be a good shout for a team like Palace. But if you ask Silly Sally who the best English players are, I bet he’d be mentioned.
