In his best ever season scored 21 league goals in his last 60 games (14 this season)

Their treble was so inspiring. Full of young whippersnappers all raised within ten minutes of Old Toilet. Plus British transfer record Andy Cole, British transfer record Roy Keane, British record for a defender Henning Berg, world's most expensive defender Jaap Stam, £12.6 million Dwight Yorke, and £3.5m 31 year-old Teddy Sheringham. The 98/99 season, their net spend was nearly 3 times as much as Arsenal, nearly 4 times as much as Newcastle, and 6 times as much as Liverpool. Even now in 2023, when they've won fuck all for ages, they've got 5 of the top 10 most expensive British transfers ever. We've got one.

I've heard so much shit from rags this week about them being this team of homegrown youngsters. A total of four Englishmen and one Welshman started their 99 final. Bayern Munich had 10 Germans in their starting lineup and 5 out of 7 substitutes too. The same thing in their semi-final against an Italian-packed Juventus team. Most teams were packed with locals because only four years earlier, you had to be. It was in the rules. Most of their early failings in Europe came from the fact that until 1995, you were only allowed 3 foreigners in the team. They relied heavily on foreign players and bought them at huge expense, but their fans act like they were Athletic Bilbao.

You've just realised they talk bollocks?

Looks like the scruffy fat **** I’ve just give a couple of euros to outside a bar I’ve just left. Said fat scruffy **** would probably talk more sense though, even taking into account he looks like he’s just done an ounce of spice..
