The fact the rags support think Michael Knighton being involved in the club in anyway is positive it’s absolutely hilarious. He’s no saviour. Just look up his reign at Carlisle United, bloke tried to build a butterfly farm next to the ground, move them to the Scottish league, built a stand which isn’t in line with the pitch and supposedly spotted a UFO above the ground. Theatre of base comedy.
Haven’t heard that Key103-ism in a long time

Saw a post over on rag cafe (it's funny as fuck on there at the moment)...

Someone actually wanting "Local Manchester United fans" (good luck) to go and blockade outside of Old Toilet on a match day, stopping all the day trippers from entering the stadium so it stays empty hitting the glazers in the pocket... (we'll ignore the fact they've already paid for their tickets)

Every tabloid is full of rag stories. Every single one. The other day I counted 24 articles concerning the rags: Ten Bob, De Jong, Tranny, Slabhead, Pisscan etc: every single article bar one - and that was Schmeichel leaving Leicester City.

But the biggest insult is being told the media in this country are NOT biased. Being told every club in the Premier league receives the same amount of coverage - absolute rot, from top to bottom. Lie after lie after lie from these pond life journalists: the Custis brothers, Oliver Holt, Simon Stone, every fucking one of them treating football fans like dribbling imbeciles, unable to tie up their own shoelaces without having a social worker to do it for them.
Propaganda has never been so blatant since Saddam Hussein was seen trying to be all paternal to that little boy: hugging him and joking around with him. Phoney as fuck.

And it's this very same brainwashing that we are seeing every single day from the media in their feeble attempt at adapting the Big Brother indoctrination: Rags good, everyone else bad.
as the sayings go,
you are never more than 3 feet from a Rat or Rag.
a fool and his money are easily parted
and the sports pages are nothing more than a loss leader

City were the last all English side...

They themselves don’t understand what they’re protesting about.

They are completely confused and outright wrong about what they think it’s all about. They’re conflating the Glazers earning money from the club with their position in the league and trophy drought. They are completely separate issues and have no bearing on each other. But because they haven’t got the fortitude to handle their position in the league and trophy drought (because most United fans only chose to support United because they were #1 and always winning trophies), they direct their anger at the Glazers.

Yes, the Glazers are taking money out of United. However, that is not affecting United’s ability to spend money on their team:
- Since Ferguson left United, they’ve spent £1.21bn on transfers. That’s only £235m less than City in the same time and by a mile we’re the biggest two spenders in the country. However, City have won 4 league titles in the last 5 years and 14 trophies in that time, while United have not won the league once and only won 4 trophies (Leicester have won 3, one of which was the league title!).
- United have the biggest wage bill in the country, again by a mile! Their wage bill is £230m. In compassion, City’s wage bill is £145m.

Their problem is who they have in charge of who they are buying and paying such high wages to. They’ve just had the wrong Director of Football and wrong managers in place which has seen them buy the wrong players with no forward thinking plan. But this isn’t necessarily the Glazers’ fault, Sheikh Mansour pretty much has no dealings with the day-to-day or even month-to-month running of City, neither do the China Media Capital/CITIC Group or Silver Lake, they are just the owners of the shares of the club… and that’s all the Glazers are at United. The running of City and United and all clubs falls with the CEO and other board members, of which, at United, Ferguson is one. Ferguson has also been a consultant to the club in all aspects of its running from the football side of it.

The Glazers have literally employed the exact man that United fans would want to oversee all of this. But what they’re not seeing is that he’s doing an awful job!

The result of all this is that they are not one of the best runs clubs in the country anymore and there are better boardrooms operating in the Premier League these days; that’s only natural, things are fluid and always moving, nothing lasts forever. But United fans don’t understand or won’t accept this, so their natural reaction is to throw their toys out of the pram and constantly complain.

The number one thing United fans should be demanding is that Woodward should have been replaced long ago, but also that Ferguson should not have any role at the club whatsoever. He’s a has-been and football has moved on!

They should also be careful what they wish for. They could get new owners in who are not prepared to release the amount of funds towards the football team that the Glazers are. They could be a frugal set of bastards and United could stand exactly where they are in the league and continue to not win trophies.
My guess is the rags are skint, Ole spent the war chest 230m I believe, their dividend take has dropped, their sponsors will want to pay less in the future, no prize money yet have the highest wage bill, match day income will fall, huge debt with interest rates rising, crumbling stadium, training ground facilities years behind their competitors, and that's off the top of my head and City's success is messing with theirs.
It's gonna get worse and nobody is gonna come in and rescue the steaming pile of shit unless it's given away.

Please let them get relegated, twice, see how many of the glory hunters stick around.

I wonder how others who saw them relegated in '74 feel about this. Of course, half of me wants them relegated. The other half remembers how the enforced reset geared them up for the years that followed. Once they started winning you read and heard more about them in the second division than any of the clubs in division 1 and their glory hunting fans returned to the fold. On balance I'm not sure I don't prefer them languishing in mid-table obscurity. Tough call.

Their entire model has been broken, they keep screaming at ownership without realising that Michael Scott himself could run UTD better than their last two CEO's and god knows what clowns run the club.

You cannot rebuild by just adding money. You need a re-model, re-balance the squad and get 10-15 players within two-three-four years that actually want to play for A: their Club, B: PL. As well, they keep sacking managers, but not changing the dump of a squad.

They are by far the most amateurish club ran at this level, especially with how much money they shit out a year. It's utterly embarrassing.
I'm not embarrassed.
