Overpaid for a 30year old cdm but Casemiro is like 5x the player Mctominay is.
Apparently going to splash 100mil on Antony, an attacker who managed 8 goals and 4 assists in the Eredivisie, a league where his teamate 33 year old Dusan Tadic got 13 goals and 19 assists.

Always beware big signings when there’s no competition.

Liverpool have Fabinho and Thiago, City have Rodri and Phillips, PSG have Vitinha and Veratti, Chelsea have Jorginho and Kante, Bayern have Kimmich and Goretzka.

The Italian clubs couldn’t afford him and Barca and Atleti are out of the question.

So as good a player as he is, they’ve spent 70m on a 30 year old you had no competition to sign, are committed to paying him £315k/week until he’s 35 and he doesn’t even speak the language or have experience living in a Northern European country.

Loads of warning signs all over this one.

No chance of a points deduction, they didn’t get one last time. Quietly brushed under the carpet like all their wrongdoings. Cunts
Last time the match was called off on safety grounds by the Police, therefore no action could be taken re points deductions etc etc

I read the article about casemiro going to utd. The whole thing is like one big propaganda article. It implies RM wanted to keep him, that the player wants to go play for utd, that utd have battled hard for him.

And that's utds transfer policy in a nutshell. Politics for the fans, not actually getting a proper team but buying a name.

The football really is secondary there, still! They'll never get it I'd say.

I don't see why that should come into play. It was United fans that caused the safety issues. Same as it was United's contractors that left the fake bomb lying around to cause another postponement.

Two postponements caused by United or their fans, and they always get away with it, and will continue to get away with it until they are given a meaningful punishment.

What is also odd is going from De Jong to Casemiro. 2 entirely different types of midfielder. It smells of desperation to make a big named signing in lieu of someone who actually fits the initial mould they were looking for.
He's better than they have in midfield but they've gone from targeting someone who controls the tempo of a game to someone who wins the ball back so they can pass to players that control the tempo of a game. They need the former.
