Cheers - we'll see.

If they're sold - I think it'll depend a great deal on who their new owners are. If not sold, the Glazers are more than capable of fucking up a good thing.
Yep, strange season this. Can see the dippers making a mini comeback next season and those two clubs never seem to do well at the same time. I hope it’s Ratcliffe, but the backtracking would be a joy to behold if it’s the Qataris.

Oh the backtracking by them and their rag sympathisers in the press will be a joy to watch.

I said to one rag in work this morning that you don't want dirty oil money at your club as you'll all look like hypocrites after giving us shit for years.

Slience, and this big red was giving it out last week when the premier league shit came out.

Oh this is going to be an easy wind up every day now.
Why is Arab oil money dirty, yet American (Texan) oil money, (by implication) clean?

It's a double edged sword for a number of reasons. American investment is usually for the profits, so they will buy for a certain amount and sell in the future for a profit. They are only in it for the cash returns.

Middle Eastern investment is totally different, as they will provide unlimited funds and expect nothing financial in return, as they don't need the money. So what is in it for them?

They can get their brands advertised globally. They can improve their reputation globally, which increases investment in their countries. Yes, we might not have the same traditions or laws as the West, but look at what we can do as well. It is like cancelling out the bad by providing lots of good things as well.

Regardless of fans & journalists opinions, there is literally nothing that anyone can do to stop it. They are up for sale and the highest bidder wins. Jim Radcliffe could even buy them and suddenly go full steam ahead for a European super league.

They are literally bent over a barrel, with their pants round their ankles, waiting for someone to enter the room. As far as I am concerned, they will get shafted one way or another. Be it financially or by reputation.

I don't think thir reputation will be shafted.

The media will see that it is protected from any complaints

I hear that Elon Musk is interested in buying the rags now?
Is that because his backers (American) have advised him to do that do you think?

City are worth many multiples of what has been invested. It was an extremely smart financial move. The ‘sports washing’ narrative you are truing to push while avoiding using the phrase is horseshit
