They're still as shit as they've been for the last 5+ years - how the fuck he's fluked them to 3rd is beyond me

It’s been an odd season to be fair

Liverpool been miles off it for large parts of the season. Chelsea stuck in mid table positions. Spurs been a bit hit and miss but still challenging for top 4, thought Conte might have made them a bit more solid and may well do with a few more transfer windows. I think they’re 3rd mostly because others have been off the pace, especially Liverpool

3rd flatters them.

I reckon Utd will be struggling for top 4 next season again unless they have some huge change. Liverpool will get their act together I think, Arsenal will strengthen, we’ll be still the team to beat. Chelsea can’t get any worse really, so you can’t rule them bouncing back next season. Newcastle have money behind them to strengthen.

The other funny thing about the narrative about them being back is they’ve actually finished second a couple of times. Mourinho got them second , he also won two cups in one season. Technically they’re not even doing as well as that season, so not sure how they’re back by being in 3rd place and winning trophies they did under Mourinho

Exactly this. We had just won 6-3 and fans were walking out shaking their heads at what we had allowed to happen. We should have completely finished them off that day. Humiliation.
