I’m certain you don’t spend £5-7b on a vanity project & after seeing the failures of Chelsea you’d be even more guarded.
Everyone forgets but City cost £210m but we are told it was purely sports washing.
No one’s talking about the motivation of the owners but you’d expect it’s to turn a profit, if that’s the case I’d love to see the business plan but frying pan & fire springs to mind.

Surprised Qatar are even bothering at that price. Better to buy a club for <£500m and invest £1bn-£2bn.

Investors are all about returns. I fail to see how 6bn outlay can start to pay dividend without piling more debt onto the club. Or am I missing something?
