It’s the issue we had with Bravo. Ignoring Bravo’s lack of shot stopping in his first season, he was ready to pass out from the back, whereas Zabba, Kolarov, Sagna et al weren’t. The rags are the same now.
That was Guardiola's first season at the club though, by the second season we had a ball playing backline (and Mendy :/...).

I'm sorry what? £70m! I don't really keep up to date on fee's for other clubs, always imagined it was like 30/40m and the wages being massive was the biggest joke of that deal.

70m, fucking hell
That one shocked me too, £70m! That's so ridiculous it must be money laundering.

As funny as it was on Saturday seeing them lose, I wasn't particularly surprised because Brighton are a very good team and it would've been disappointing if they hadn't come away with the 3 points. What we need to add to their misery is a few defeats to the lesser lights in the league. Hopefully Vinny's lot will give them the runaround on Saturday night!

So the BBC admit they didn't send a sports journalist on the preseason tour of the English and European Champions. They thought they would answer your complaint by declaring that their journalist who was on tour on a different continent posted updates on the City game against Atletico.

This is the "full match report" on City vs Yokohama

Manchester City opened their pre-season with a 5-3 victory over Yokohama F Marinos at Japan National Stadium in Tokyo.

City found themselves two behind seven minutes before half-time after goals from Anderson Lopes and Ken Matsubara.

But the Treble winners were level by the break - first, John Stones firing high into the net, then Julian Alvarez pouncing on an error from goalkeeper Jun Ichimori.

Pep Guardiola made 10 changes at half-time - with only keeper Stefan Ortega playing the whole game - and Erling Haaland took just seven minutes to get on the scoresheet, turning in the penalty area before finding the bottom corner.

Rodri then curled home from outside the box to make it 4-2.

Kenta Inoue pulled one back for the hosts four minutes after a mix-up between Ortega and Rico Lewis.

But Haaland tapped in Joao Cancelo's cross in stoppage time to add his second and some gloss to the scoreline.

No journalist named
Exactly and that was posted hours after the game ended. No live text, no team news. But again Stone the fanboy gets a jolly reporting on his idols.

Had Ten Hag improved any player over there since he took over?
There's only one player you can make a case for, and that's the player who when Ten Rags first arrived wanted this player sold, saying he wasn't the required standard, but they got no bidders, so he left him on the bench for months. Then was forced to play him due to injuries and he hasn't left the 1st 11 team since, which means he's way overdue a serious injury thanks to Ten Rags lack of rotation policy.

Clue, they scouted 803 right backs in the world before purchasing him.
