He's an upgrade where playing out from the back is concerned. I think he'll show the Rags how massively overrated the donut thief actually was. There will be a discussion around how much better they could have been with a keeper who can do more than make average saves look world class for the cameras.

I agree absolutely on this, his distribution is a massive upgrade on De Gea. Ten Hag wants to play out from the back but came a cropper early in the season due to not having the personnel to do it. This guy will help them, large amount of their budgets gone now though to improve other areas.

Once again, the rags have spent hugely in the transfer window, but the signings have been very much 'meh' for most people - even some rags.
As you'd expect from our tabloids, Mount is now the nearest thing to a God-like presence in the world of football. He is being painted as far better than KDB (stop that sniggering at the back!), he will -almost single handedly- drag the rags into a title race the likes we've never seen before, and he'll turn Erling into a quivering wreck of nerves every time the two meet on the pitch, and every club in the world, barring none, will be wishing they'd had the foresight to sign the footballing genius that is Mason Mount.

But in the real world he's no more than mediocre. He's certainly not the man to pick up the gauntlet we've lobbed at them from a great height, and he goes nowhere near having the ability to cover for the rest of the expensive dross around him.

With him and OnaYoko (or whatever he's called) they will once again end the season with sweet fuck-all to show for the money they've spent.

This is true. The Daily United have been running with the Mount signs for United headline all week, along with 2 additional stories about Mason Mount every day, on top of 5 additional United stories every day. To Mount's credit, he has had more story time in the Daily United this week than City had the week they won the CL and did the treble. He must be some player this Manson Mount.
