Do you think, objectively speaking, they are good owners?

And if so, why?
They are not in the same league as our owners but utd aren't going to get better than them. All the prospective buyers will be the same as the Glazers in that they'll want a big return on their investment year on year. There'll be no further investment into the club after the purchase unless they think there'll be a decent return on that money.
The Glazers are decent owners in that they don't appear to get involved in the football side of things and they let the club reinvest in the playing side. They employ money men to run the club at the highest level which is the right thing to do. It's these people who let them down by trying to run parts of the club they don't understand.

this right here is the problem with the media, they hold the public in so little regard and are so used to lying to them, that they genuinely believe they can tell us that what we have seen with our own eyes isnt actually true
Ten Bob telling everyone afterwards they 'played well.' Really? That's not what 99% of knowledgable football fans said after the demolition. Even genuine rag fans said City were in a different league, that we were so superior to them it was 'men against boys.'

So as the manager, coming out after such a poor performance and telling the media they played well, I would suggest you, Mr Ten Bob, go back to the fawning media hacks and explain why -after spending millions and millions on players over the last eighteen months or so- your team is so poor? Why, despite pgmol and Webb's best efforts, are your club still so fucking awful you'd struggle against a non-league side.
Any other manager at any other club would be absolutely slaughtered for the excrement you served up for your supporters on Sunday, but of course Simon Stone and his feeble-minded cronies have mortgages to pay, don't they.

It's a vicious circle and that's what's beautiful about it. New owners/Ratcliffe can put new money in (unlikely after paying a billion for nothing) and pay for a new stadium and training ground (but not the team) and whilst that is needed, it will not improve the team or prospects.
The first thing that is needed is a plan (10yr) and the staff needed to implement it. Nice and the Swiss club will tell you he doesn't have that level of knowledge and that Dave Brailsford should stick to bikes.

They will stay just below the successful teams in the PL for years as foreign supporters and TV coverage fall away and new young superstars will sign for other more historically successful teams. They are already shopping at Tescos and that could get worse when they start to shop at McColl's. They talk about needing a captain, but we have 5!

I still can't feel sorry for them when they use 'soft pen' scenario's as excuses whilst not starring the real reason in the face. They still have such a long way to go till they hit rock bottom. Love it.

The game opened up when he put Mount on for Ambrabat. Yeah they needed to get back in the game but putting one less midfielder to hold in their opened them up for a battering. It was all one way traffic apart from Sir Fish finger fluffing one he should have hit the target with in the 2nd half.

They're like Microsoft. Big in the 90s by being in the right place at the right time. Got complacent, thought they were too big to be caught, and then spend the next 10 years trying to catch up with all the tech companies that overtook them in the meantime. They're the Bing to our Google. The Zune to our iPod. The Windows Phone to our Android.
ahem.. I think they're more like Intel than Microsoft.

Microsoft went down various routes that you mentioned, but their Azure and Office is still bringing in reams of money. They failed at hardware, but they are only behind AWS on cloud, and Office dominates still.

Intel on the other hand, have failed at pretty much everything 'new', despite being the dominating incumbunt.
Their RISC chip (Itanium) was crap, their embedded/low power chip Atom was crap. Their graphic chips are well behind anyone else. Apple dumped them for their own silicon. Windows will now run on ARM chips, so their bread and butter market is going to shrink massively from hereonin.

They say trying to become somebody else will never work because the thing you try to copy is still going to be better, Manchester City owners did the right thing in building a club like nobody else and giving us our own DNA.

United Dont get it Because everybody still says this is the mighty Man United the Badge scares people. Well Nobody is scared anymore, The fact that the so-called mighty United was just another club before 1992 says it all, You had not won the title for 20-odd years before 1992 so you were just like City and Chelsea before in plodding along until somebody came along and changed it,

United time is gone and until they all realize nobody sees you as a mighty club anymore the worst it going to get.
I even think if one day United won the title in the next 10 years it would be seen as a Leicester City-type season when a team shocks everybody
