With hindsight, I’d say there is a beach full of truth in it…!That line Mourinho had about getting United to second being his biggest achievement was funny at the time, but probably a grain of truth to it.

I suppose the counter is Ole also finished second and ETH has also won a cup. With more backing, mind. With hindsight, I’d say there is a beach full of truth in it…!
They are now the in-form team in the PL. They have achieved an incredible seven wins, all by just a single goal margin, against Wolves, Forest, Brentford, Sheff Utd, Burnley, Fulham, and Luton. Just like watching Brazil.United are a circus.
They've ended up with the best form "record" by beating the fodder, and now they're a "force".
Brilliant.
Truth is they are completely shite, we all know it, but these "records" disguise the truth, keep their fans, happy, keep the Nevill'e content, and keep the rest of the footballing world laughing at the bastards to the point that "Laughing at United" should be made into it's own pub sport to rival, darts, pool etc.
FUCK UNITED
Garry Birtles?????…..Has a player costing so much gone so long without a premier league goal , I’m
talking about the pound land Haaland the man the myth …009
They were the same with Sancho and Antony before the penny dropped. There is nothing to suggest Hojlund will ever be more than an average PL player. He runs around a lot but appears to have no game intelligence at all. He runs into a lot of blind alleys. For example Gabriel Jesus has plenty of flaws but is light years ahead of Hojlund. At the same age as Hojlund is now Gabby was leading the line for Brazil and winning the title with one of the greatest English teams of all time (the 2018 Centurions). How long are they going to keep their heads in the sand about Hojlund? They've convinced themselves that 0 goals or assists in 9 league games is absolutely fine because he bagged a few in the Champions League (half of those against Galatasaray and Copenhagen).
“Once we start playing well”
Deluded prick
Spot-on about Leeds. The longer time goes on the more the history is re-written positively about Leeds and their anti-football team. Brian Clough was 100 per cent right about them. The "dirty Leeds" team set back English football for decades. Their physical style was copied by many clubs and crowds plummeted everywhere (also helped by the hooligan menace which Leeds also flourished at).Exactly. It was the sycophants in the Sly studio that made them out to be better than they actually were. I remember the Don Revie side of the 70's and the similarities between the two sides are quite compelling. Neither played out from the back or played tactically-aware football. Both relied very heavily on brutality to win games, the rags in particular were very Wimbledon-esque in their approach.
Leeds were a dirty, cynical side who were grand masters of the dark arts - Brian Clough was 100% correct in his assessment.
The same with the rags: witness the amount of times the ginger pig went in two-footed, or when the Irish pikey scythed in and took an opposition player out of the game.
The drunken despot was not a good football manager: he was in the right place at the right time and he was handed an absolute treasure chest in order to create a team that no other club could compete with.
But a compliant media, and a selection of referees with both stars in their eyes and a fear of upsetting the bullying clique who manipulated the Premier league at that time, helped create and sustain the myth that the rags were a good team.
Success is not always the result of talent: ask Amanda Holden, The Spice Girls, One Direction etc.
Slight amendment Bobby. They are now the in-form team in the PL. They have achieved an incredible seven wins, all by just a single goal margin, against Wolves, Forest, Brentford, Sheff Utd, Burnley, Fulham, and Luton. Just like watching Alan Brazil.
