It's all amusement for us, especially the FOCs. We lived through all that shite in the 90s and 2000s. It was an awful time. Now it's fun watching their implosion. It's especially good watching their fans have a meltdown - even more so when this would actually be classed as good times for a lot of clubs. They have no fucking idea what bad times are. Their hypocrisy is also off the charts. Let's be fair, no Blue would be on RagCaf or watching Flying Pig if the Rags were doing well.

I spend too much time on this thread but it's fucking brilliant laughing at their demise. I count it as time well spent.

Obviously there are examples of businessmen who are successful in the conventional sense, ie building a viable, successful and profitable business.

But these days thanks to situation of limited liability of PLC's there are just as many grifters and spivs who are able to still be financially successful and able to personally enrich themselves despite their business being a debt ridden, non-viable unprofitable failure.

I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said in that post but tbf you seemed to presented the Glazer model as the only example of ‘what constitutes a successful businessman in the modern world’.

It’s one such example, but there are many others.

If there were 100 shares then the Glazers would have 69 shares. Jim getting 25% of those would give him 17 or 18 shares so he gets 17% or 18% of the total.

They are issuing new shares to bring it up to 25% the money will be reinvested into the crumbling infrastructure some £300M about the same as City are investing into the North Stand
