Don’t tell @Mad Eyed Screamer that!Correct, the Europa League. Given that no halfway decent coaches are available, even the Europa Conference would probably be enough to save his job.
Coventry would be better representatives for English football that the rags.
Redknapp.....what a bellend.
As others have said, they need a complete rebuild, similar to ours, after the takeover. He's talking about it being doable to get 5 players in and 5 players out, because Real Madrid did it. Seeing as he mentioned Madrid, he's alluding top quality players...
Yeah good luck getting 5 top class players in one window to join a team that won't be in the Champions League.
The rags aren't as desirable to top players as they think, that's why their team is what it is. Quality players in their early 20s were children the last time the rags were relevant. They simply don't view them the same way our media does. They don't give a shite about the fact they were successful decades ago. They just want to play for the best teams in the best competitions and you won't get that at the rags.
The media are stuck in the past to an era when today’s young stars were still babies. There's always this theory that the rags have poor recruitment, and it's partly true, but I think there's also the fact that top players don't rate them these days, so they're stuck with buying mediocre players out of necessity.
Or will he?thats what im saying, the lure of playing for the rags doesnt mean anything anymore, city, bayern, dortmund, madrid, arse, liverpool, hell even villa and spuds could offer far more attractive packages than the rags in terms of football and structure, all that omer will have to offer is significantly more money.
Redknapp.....what a bellend.
Rodri would look shit as their defensive mid. Prime Fernandinho wouldn't last a gameWhat strikes me about Mainoo is he seems to have a total lack of positional awareness which is a fatal flaw in a defensive midfielder. For the best players this is an instinctive skill. Teams are just running straight through the middle of United's midfield again and again. A few fancy flicks here and there doesn't compensate for this obvious weakness.
And yet despite all of that the baffling and infuriating thing is they're still in 6th place. It's their vanity, their conceitedness, their utter disdain for the rest of the football world that is their downfall. And "Downfall' is a very good description because like the dramatisation of Hitler's demise the rags are doing the precise same thing - ignoring good, sound business advice and plowing on with the scattergun approach they've been using for many a long year.
You have to look at the quality of players they have bought over the years, and the extraordinary amount of money they have spent on them. Then think about the obscene wages they are paying out to those same flops, and look at the football being served to their plastic fans in return - absolutely Godawful tripe that you wouldn't see in non-league games.
There appears to be no enthusiasm from the players, no inclination to carry out ten bob's instructions (if there are any). Creatively they are non-existent, in musical terms we are Mozart and they are a Little Mix tribute band in the rehearsal stages.
Not one single player in their line up yesterday can justify the wage packet they are taking home every week, not one. Lazy, indifferent, apathetic, it is absolutely criminal that they are seemingly beyond criticism. Yet their collective ego is being fed and watered by the painfully insecure media representatives we have in this country, and the more the pretence continues the harder the reality will be to take when it finally dawns on the plastic rags, both here and and in the far east, that they are reading a false narrative from people like Slimey Stone, Mirror, Sun, Daily Mail etc.
Think of THAT banner, the words 'Not in my lifetime,' and the comb-over's 'We will finish above City next season, guaranteed,' and enjoy watching those bastards pressing the self-destruct button...over and over again.
I think both Rodri and Fern would hugely improve their midfield even with their team's current state. Some (not many) of their fans used to argue that Pogba was a great player in a very poor United side and it took a long time for the penny to drop that he was technically very weak. I agree that Mainoo will find it hard to develop at a failing club like United but I am still not convinced he is as good as all the hype.Rodri would look shit as their defensive mid. Prime Fernandinho wouldn't last a game
