Even having £122m to spend in one window before sales doesn't exactly sound like a "limited" transfer budget to me.

In all the years we've been ruining football with our supposedly limitless budget have we ever spent £120m+ in one single window?
Not enough money to buy a new goalie, a striker and better midfielders. Even if Fred and McTominay are shipped out, they have to replace them with better players. No chance of doing all of that for 122m. And they have all of the bargaining skills of a housewife addicted to QVC.

This is nothing more than Spurs trying to drive up the price that Bayern are willing to pay.

If Bayern's bid is currently 70m, then Spurs are merely casting out this hook so that Murtough will bid 90m, and then Bayern will end up having to pay 80m.

This transfer will drag out until the very last day, that is how Levy plays it. He waits for the buyers to panic.

And let’s not forget that Vinnie, a relatively inexperienced manager, deemed him not good enough for a Burnley team that had just been relegated from the Premier League.

In other words, ten Bob took a Burnley reject and expected (hoped?) that he would be good enough for the swamp dwellers.
Some might say that he was more than good enough....

The 7-1 vs Liverpool defeat should sound alarm bells that Fernandes isn't quite captain material. Again it is not our problem and it is going to be carnage for them lot.
