I was listening to the BBC World Service in the car last night. Turns out it was Ratboy and Posh Spice’s toyboy comparing the two treble winning teams. I missed the start, but sure enough only two City players made the combined 11, and their treble was better because it was more exciting etc. The dog wanker before Rodri, Stam before Ruben, etc, though the best bit was when they said Yorke and Erling were tied and they couldn’t decide! Which fucking BBC presenter thought having two rags discuss the relative merits of the treble winning sides was a good idea? Twats.

Thats all they have now, long distant memories from the last millenium. Simple fact is that Citys will always be better as they done it as Champions of England.

So, there is a very strong probability that the Rags will miss out on European football next season.

There income will be impacted with the reduced number of matches and especially by missing out on the CL, at the same time they are going to burn through any money they have on top of the losses they have already been incurring.

New director structure, not cheap.
Stadium repairs, fucking huge.
Costs of writing off players they no longer want on huge contracts (Cashemero, Rashford, Sancho, Anthony, Varane) to name just a few.
The cost of bringing in new signings.
Reduced sponsorship, TV revenue.

If they then fucked off Ten Haag and his team there is even more cost and disruption to factor in.

I feel the narrative is already being set with talk of him being given more time, it's only because they can't afford the compensation and rebuild required.

And the fan base is so self entitled that they demand instant success, if they think this season was bad I think they need to get themselves ready for next year.
Couldn't they go down the Chelsea loophole route and sell Carrington back to themselves for a few billion, funded by the taxpayer of course?

No different to Allan Clarke’s thoughts, really. They think the sides they were in were the best around and that clouds their judgement.

We’ve no idea how these old sides would do within modern laws and fitness etc, but if you play them all at peak level, the modern sides would win 99/100 due to fitness and tactics.

Fair enough Alan, but Yorke on a par with Erling, that’s the ramblings of two mad men.
