UAE definitely do not want Qatar to own them. They have been at odds with each other since the 1800's. Qatar are wealthier and don't mind bending the rules to suit them. It could turn into a ridiculous pissing contest.
The narrative that Sheikh Jassim is a one man band is nonsense. His Dad was PM and is related to the founding fathers of Qatar. He was responsible for a sovereign wealth fund of 230bn. He owns half of London. You only have to ask the question, how does someone with 1.5bn in the bank get hold of 6bn to buy the Glazers out??
