I’m actually gobsmacked the money they’ve lobbed to Atlanta for this lad. His goal scoring record is total bobbins.

Totally reckless signing, who’s actually approving a deal like this? It’s hard to believe anyone could make any sense of the fee based on his track record.
The way untidy handle transfers reminds me of the second coming of Big Mal and the way he threw money around on unknown players, didn't end well for us and I can't see it ending well for the scummers either

Out of interest are we on a “rolling” contract with etihad or is it due to end soon?

If they are wanting to offload this guy for the best price possible as they are restricted on ffp apparently for this window.Surely their media mouthpieces should be hyping him up to be Bobby Moore not another rag transfer that has gone disastrously wrong.

Obviously £900m in the bank now is a hell of a war chest, but even if it's 'only' £90m per year it's a big help. I do wonder though how much £90m a year will be worth in terms of football finance during the last five years of this deal? My guess is long term it might be a better deal for Adidas than the rags - unless they are in division 2 by then.

They make 4m every time they play at home. They were exceptionally lucky with home draws in cup comps last season which brought in around 140m, and a further 152m from the PL for finishing 3rd. 75m from Adidas, 47m Team Viewer, 20m from Europa League. Add on the TV rights, and smaller sponsorship deals and you are into half a billion quid a year.

And this is precisely why the Glazers won't sell.
