I don't think he's got a single assist to his name, he was always totally selfish and contributed nothing at all to the team effort beyond just shooting for goal whenever he found himself with the ball in and around the area, occasionally some of his speculative shots went in but far more often they didn't and there were usually better options available him.

It's a good point. They would have only needed a statement from the two people involved plus the audio tape and photos which were already in the public domain. Hardly a job for Sherlock Holmes.
