We will be playing against everyone next week. The ref, media other football fans etc will be in full on in ensuring a Utd win to honour the memory of Bobby Charlton. If we come away with a result it will be a job well done!
Take your point but not so sure that "other football fans" will give a flying fuck about them winning for Bobby Charlton.

Most, if not all, will want City to dish out another humiliation to the entitled rag bastards.

After last season's daylight robbery at the Swamp i am dubious we will be refereed fairly by the officials , PGMOL nowadays have so many weapons to decide games with VAR etc., we really are up against it next week , if you include the groundswell of sympathy for Charlton.
As a gesture to Charlton's fine career they will have Bryan Robson , the Chuckle Brothers and Cuntona on VAR.

I've posted this in the Bobby Charlton thread, but it probably should belong in here, and I'm genuinely interested in our responses to my question.

We've been singing the "jelly and ice cream" song for years. Thousands of impressionable young blues will have heard thousands of older blues singing that song, thousands of times. They will have heard dad's sing it, mum's sing it, brothers, peers, uncle Tom Cobley and all sing it. Drummed into them from an early age, accepted as harmless "bants" without any thought as to the inevitability of it happening.

So, we have a problem here Blues.

If we're calling out and reporting fellow Blues over a couple of misguided Charlton chants, God only knows what will happen when the GPC finally moves on. We'll have more banning orders than SC holders.

We'll have a 1000 page thread with Blue on Blue rows, hand-wringing off the scale, 18-25 group blame, ban hammers, a general shitshow. Older Blues ashamed by the chant, despite the fact they've probably all sang it on every away concourse across the land, as I have..on many an occasion.

There will be totally justified grief across in Trafford, but the grief amongst us Blues will be just as unpleasant.

So, I have a simple question. The next time you hear the "jelly and ice cream" song will you join in?

No, I’ve never sang it. I want the fucker to live to 150 as every trophy we win makes his life ever more miserable

The Raggy BBC Sports website are allowing HYS comments on their Women's match report.

This feels very 1990s, in which a Red Top would dedicate two page spreads to Rag matches if they won and only one for all the other games.

No way will they play that open against us regardless of it being at the Swamp

They will play with Casemiro and Amrabat as a double pivot with a front four of Ferndandes Rashford Hoilund and one other.

They will also have Varane back as well

They will do their normal of sit in and hit on the break which can work against us at times.
