Manure. Ordure.
That is what propelled them to the lofty heights, the expectation and entitlement of their fans and over 95% of the media blowing a smokescreen over the reality of what they were.
Well, finally, they are sinking back into the stinking, shark infested morass, from which they emerged.
A recent pivotal moment for me is the rags defeat against spuds, a team that usually rolled over for them actually beating them! Even spuds manager was embarassed for the c*nts.
As Status Quo once sang "Down, down, deeper and down"......
Hahahahaha

No, at the very start of the Glazers touting the full sale option. The full package was valued at 3.5bn. If the final bid was 6bn, it begs the question why they didn't take the money and run.
Never a genuine bid, just a game to increase the share price I think.

Well it doesn't make much sense, does it? You'd think that the asset has already reached it's pinnacle in value. If the starting point was 3.5bn.

But throughout this process, people have become fixated on the stadium and the training facilities in Carrington, when the full package includes a huge area of land that they could potentially develop, especially on the Trafford side of the waterfront, at Salford Quays. The Metrolink already goes through there so the transport links are in. There is also a huge demand for living accommodation in and around media city, where house prices have gone crazy in the last decade.

There's definitely more to it than just a football club.

The land may be ok but the " football club on it " is a fucking dump which only a fool would invest in.

The Glazers actually own a sizeable chunk of Trafford Park/Salford Quays. Over 40 acres of land. They own the freight terminal near the stadium as well. If someone with unlimited wealth, got hold of all of that, they could actually make something spectacular. This is something not often mentioned in the sale, but the Qatari's will be all over it.

Maybe...maybe, their gameplay all along has been to milk the ageing cash cow until it dies, deliberately running it into the ground, then sell-off the land for development after another 20 years of appreciation?
