An ideal situation now would be for the Qatari's to move on to another club, removes another future option for the rags and hopefully pushes them down the pecking order.
A £10bn investment when the stadium and training grounds need another £1bn, there is no obvious regeneration of the area, and that there are no obvious "new" fanbases to produce. It doesn't make sense.

You could get far better value elsewhere Madrid are valued around the same $6 billion the rags are. You could pick City up for $4.9 billion, debt free, state of the art training ground, modern stadium that is just about to be extended with a hotel on site, biggest arena in Europe about to open next door in the spring. Miles better value, don’t think Mansour would want someone else benefiting from all his hard work though.

Just buy Norwich and relocate them.

Edit: to Surrey of course.

I still can't figure this. Not the bit where Utd said they were breaking all ties with him ( and then retain is registration), or something similar, but with all the stuff that's going on in Spain atm, Getafe thought that signing him was a good idea!
Left by mutual aid consent but not left
