I thought it was bullshit when Bernardo got done, I thought it was bullshit when Cavani got done, and I think it will be bullshit if Garnacho gets done.

However emotions shouldn’t come in to it where the rules are concerned.

If anything I'd say the Garnacho tweet could be considered the more offensive and insensitive.

At least Bernardo was comparing Mendy to a cartoon representation of a human even if it was an offensive caricature, where as Garnacho is likening Onana to a Gorilla which has been a long standing historic theme of genuine and blatant hate fuelled racial abuse, particularly in football.

The Bernardo tweet featured a caricature from a confectionery product.
I was in Portugal a few weeks back and the sweets are still on sale - so it seems that nobody over there is offended enough to call for a ban on them.
Like Mendy, Onana is taking it as a piss take between two blokes.
If this is swept under the carpet - granted he doesn't need it - Bernardo should demand his fine back along with any potential performance bonus he missed out on.
