Ferguson was no mug, he knew what was in store for united and got out to preserve his legacy. The league was about way too competitive for his liking and he knew City were going to be the best of the lot, so he bolted.

Smart old bastard if you ask me. United would've struggled with or without him in thr coming years and he knew it, and now his legacy is even greater because he knew he had to bow out. Had he stayed, his final years would've been like Wenger.
Yep, just like Usain Bolt if he retired before those last two races, in which he didn't win the 100m and pulled up in the relay race.

Legend has it, that when Mancini denied him the league in 2012, he stayed on for another year so he could end his career on a league title.

Clever old bastard indeed.

Watched the first half and it was so one-sided. I think they had one break where Houilland (sp) or whatever his name is ended up running closer to the corner flag.

You guys are very good and they're very average.

Even though we were shite last season I still believed we had players to perform. United on the other hand don't really have anything to rely on.

Said this for years. Their delusions are self perpetuating. the United Way, it’s killing them. And will continue to do si, which is brilliant.

People keep going on a out them being ‘bigger’ than City. Who’s the fuck cares and how is size measured in football?
How can you claim to be the biggest club in the World yet have that shower of shit playing, a shambles of a stadium.

The biggest club in the World doesn’t play Jonny fucking Evans..

After ten Haag abandoned his principles after the heavy defeat to Brentford they were cooked

Nevilles right. Its the Glazers fault. The first goal was down to the Glazers not defending properly.
The second goal was caused by the midfield trio of Glazer, Glazer and Glazer not tracking back and as for the third, where the fuck was Glazer, surely he should be marking Haaland.
I doff my cap at thee

They keep comparing themselves against us when we are just one of 6/7 sides who are much better than them. They have no style at all. They just hit and hope. They concede chances galore - 20 today even when they park the bus. Maguire and Evans at CB! I mean come on FFS. What do they expect? They are frankly lucky to be on 15 points. It should be less than 10.

Fernandes - captain! What the fuck was that for a decision. Total myth him and complete mard arse.

Rashford signs mega contract, turns to shit again.

Anthony! He has got to be up there for the worst signing for the money spent in Premier league history. Oh wait. Sancho beats him!

McTominay- fucking hell. This lad is a Championship player.

Erikson- past it. Casemiro - past it.

This new kid. 7 games no goals.

Mount - what the hell has happened to him? Looking another shite signing.

Lindelof at left back when they have a left back on the bench! Ha ha.

They just get funnier every week. How can they get so many things wrong!

I just wish we had been more clinical today and hammered them.

I know managing isn't easy, but if you're a manager coming up against united, all you basically need to tell your side is don't be too gung-ho and commit too many players forward when you don't need to. If united can't hit you on the break, they're pretty much fucked.

It's incredible how easy it is to bypass their midfield too if you're decent enough at knocking the ball about while taking 1 or 2 touches. It's no wonder the likes of Brighton smash them, never mind us.

They approach games like a league one side in an FA Cup side against a a Premier league team, just trying to nick a goal against the run of play. I kind of understand that tactic from united when playing us because we dominate possession anyway, but they approach almost all their games like that.
