Never understood the ref there, all he had to do was start brandishing yellow cards out, tell them if they don’t back off it’ll be red. Seems such an easy thing to do but the refs never did, & still don’t.

Yes and the club were fined after talk of a points deduction. Ferguson made a public apology live on Sky Sports.
Ah yes, the humility in that apology. Swore that his players would never question a referee’s decision again. And they kept his word perfectly.
