Maguire and his type have all made a living out of perpetuating the myth that PSR, FFP or whatever you want to call it is a serious calculation used for the good of all teams and to stop any future Burys etc.
Not one person in the media has the bollocks to call this corruption out and to expose the bastards behind it and what their ulterior motives are.
The trumped up charges were only ever made up to stop us from challenging the cartel, it's so funny that the only shite that hasn't been able to take advantage of the illegal charges meant to stop us are the rags pmsl.
If they don't catch us up in the next 2 seasons rest assured the only answer they have is a European super league.
Martin Samuel has

That's the worrying part of all this, the other clubs CEOs have been brainwashed by the constant party line that they all need a strong utd to keep the sponsors, TV, MSM outlets happy, that keeps revenues rolling in which will keep their own balance sheets healthy so long as they tow the line and never question any unlawful rules.

It’s like saying you can’t have a blockbuster film without Stallone, times change.

I had the same reply.
Need to work out how to take this to the next level
You could ask The BBC that if Stones official title is chief football reporter then why in the last 50 Articles he's published on the website 37 have been about the rags

True enough.

Just because they are shite and finished 15th, doesn't necessarily mean they are not news. The news becomes how bad they are, and when journalists get a taste for that it goes the other way.

Someone needs to call out scruffy Jim's interview about them being broke by Christmas if he didn't sack 1000 employees.

And then the athletic discovering that the club wasn't actually registered to that Cayman islands account, but another one that is only 55m in the red.

So everything that he said was bullshit.
So they (rags) are 2 or more companies which are both in debt, one of which has significantly less debt than the other.
In my life if I owe 2 companies (or individuals) money, then the debt is the total owed.
I fail to understand why this isn't the case with them? Surely the debts should be added together to give a true picture of their finances?
Can anyone explain why I am wrong?

That joke of a brand, organisation, football club...... whatever their PR crew and media whores profess it to be these days is an abomination.

The financial gymnastics that their peddling is drawing the kind of attention similar to a man walking into an airport with a bomb strapped to his suitcase and a teddy bear under his arm.

If the premier league and UAFA authorities let this blatant shenanigans slide then we've got absolutely nothing to worry about.

I would imagine they'll be a backlash at some point from other premier league CEOs that are restricted by PSR rules if the rags manage to pull off this financial fiasco.

Regarding your last paragraph. I've been saying this for years, yet other CEO's seem happy to except fines and point deductions. For some reason they are happy for the rags to cheat the rules and get away with it. Bizarre

Manchester United have now released their third-quarter financial statement, which Simon Stone mentioned.

It included a £20m reduction in wages compared to the same point in 2024, part of which is due to a redundancy programme that will eventually see around 450 staff members losing their jobs. That contributed to a small operating profit of £700,000, compared to a loss of £66.2m 12 months ago.

There was also a £2.7m "exceptional costs" payment, which the club say is related to the exits of some senior leaders.

Total revenue for the nine months to 31 March is £502.3m, down just over 3%.

Borrowings, excluding the amount owed in transfer fees, is £691m."

Profit?? really?

Not the greatest financial analyst, then. Why doesn't he stick to actual football ...

Know this was incoming when he was filmed in a queue waiting hours and hours to see the Queen in her coffin
One of my wife's friends was in the queue and told me he suddenly appeared in the middle of the queue. Didn't start at the back like Joe Public. Also it was just over an hour not the 3 plus the press would have us believe

MUFC PLC is the Cayman islands account that is associated with the share price and leveraged buy out debt.

Someone at the Athletic worked out that Red Football is the account that manages all the incomings and outgoings. What they earn and what they spend. Profit and loss.

They have calculated that they will have 141m to spend. They have basically spent it already, if Cunha and Mbeuno goes through.

If they buy Gyokeres, they will have to sell Garnashers, Rashford, Antony, Sancho etc..

One set of accounts is in effect an extract from the other. They are not separate debts. Similarly, City’s accounts for example are included in CFG consolidated accounts as we are a wholly owned subsidiary.

Yeah, but they'll be able to claim that they've won yet another transfer window ... or nearly. Well, at least they'll have wastedx spent more/as much as anyone else.
