They will be in another relegation battle. They need at least eight players just to compete and they can’t afford them. They still don’t get it.
I hope so mate, I really do. They just seem to always slip through the net of disaster though. Financially bollocks'd, seem to get by. Shite on the pitch, seems to get by. Complete and irreversible collapse is my dream.

was out last night and two rags i know think cuna and the brentford lad will transform them and amorin will shock everyone with a top 4 finish.i just agreed trying onus geesy best not to laugh, deluded sheep who believe everything on sky
Same here I was out yesterday afternoon and listening to the exact conversation. Also why is only Nited get the wages, bonus fees, agent fees all added in to the total price by the press. WTF!!!!!

Neither player is the answer to their problems. 2 potentially good additions to the team though one seems to be a hot head which is not what they need right now. Both must be going for the money as well as both good enough for teams with a better chance of a top 4 finish

This has become a delusional cycle for a lot of rags.

They're full of enthusiasm and a feeling that life is good Pre-season.

Once the Season gets going their enthusiasm is replaced with moans and groans, then after Christmas it's back to protests and calling for the manager's head.

You would think that after thirteen years of mediocrity they'd learn to curb their enthusiasm.

Your 1st mistake was letting them talk bollocks.
Your 2nd mistake was agreeing with them.
Your 3rd mistake was not putting a bet out

But your biggest mistake was associating with rags at all.

It’s the Liverpool 90’s/00’s boom/bust cycle!
They aspire to be them, in so many ways.
They have no way of breaking the cycle though. £1b+ debt is something only an idiot would take on, so they are stuck with the glazer’s until their (the club) demise.

I like the cut of your jib.

Difficult when the media blow smoke up their arse for every signing. Wait for the orgasmic cries when Cunha or Mbeumo score their first goal (assuming they're not like Birtles and don't manage it). Never fails and, as you say, they never learn.

They can’t sustain another decade like the last one. Lots of big clubs have faded into the past. They are in a pivotal moment like we were in the early 80s but their fans and followers in the media can’t see it.

At least Swales loved City I think.
Whereas the Glazers love the money more.

They can see it, they just don’t want to admit it.
This is MANCHESTER UNITED we are talking about here…..

It's called subliminal viewing of all media! We all do it..

Larry David likes this post.

Just had a look at their third quarter accounts and, as usual, I look closely at their cashflow statement. That shows the actual cash generated and used by the business over the period, and is generally a more accurate guide to how sustainable a company is, because if you haven't got the cash, you can't pay the bills.

Over the nine months, cash inflow from their normal operating activities was -£27.6m and they paid out a further £230m net, which includes £195m net on players. That means they've gone through nearly £260m cash in 9 months (compared to £205m in the 9 months to March 2024).

They made that shortfall up by a mixture of borrowing (i.e. their overdraft) and the sale of shares (to Scruffy Jim). In the 9 months to March 2024 that involved net inflows of £200m, and that went up to £260m in the same period this year.

They're living beyond their means on borrowed money, a bit like we were prior to the takeover, except their numbers are much bigger. That is the very opposite of sustainable.
