They're literally doing it all again!
Throwing their toys out of the pram because they want the new shiny one!
Accepting low ball offers for their own players and paying over the odds to replace them!
They really must be very sure this time that the likes of Rashford and Garnacho are the problem. I mean, to be spending something like £130m on replacements for them without having yet found a buyer.
Top half would be a success for them next season, and personally I don't see it happening even if they do add Mbueno plus Cunha. There's something seriously wrong at that club and buying two half decent but somewhat inconsistent forwards doesn't fix it. Because that's exactly what they're being brought in to replace, only they don't have the 'nited DNA, but do have a hefty price tag in the face of people being made redundant and being restricted to half a snot sandwich for lunch, and do won't be afforded the same level of understanding at all.... Just look at Onana, Zirkzee, Hojlund, happily booked off by their own support if things don't go their way.
I mean, look at when Pep came in. He immediately had a shortlist of players he wanted, and after a season he had another, designed to play his football -- here is what is stopping us from being successful, now go and get it sorted -- and it was done. No infighting, no scrimping, just addressing the problem correctly. I don't see how either Cunha or Mbueno enables the Amorim of Sporting to set up in the premier league, and he's certainly not exactly nailed on the exact type of player that would, or identified a starlet they could nab from Portugal. It's all arse about foot. React. Cry. React again.
In fact, it's probably specifically Amorim's relationship and actions with Rashford and Garnacho, and his inability to coach ot motivate them to his way of thinking, that is seeing them spunk millions on risky replacements and cut their losses on players they've devalued themselves via world class mismanagement. Brilliant viewing!
