So they’re getting Ugarte it seems. Another very limited footballer. Their transfer strategy continues to look shambolic. They spent a year chasing De Jong, a highly technical player and then at the last minute get an ageing Casemiro. They’re crying out for a technical player in midfield but go for a technical poor player who just breaks up play. Useless.
They might well need technical players but the scum fans are wanking themselves silly at the prospects of "The Butcher" Martinez and now Ugarte as well, slicing and hacking away at opponents legs and trying their best to maim them.

They have actually sold a few players this season as well as spending another 200m!

That's 650m spent by Ten Bob the fraud!

We never see what we get from the media "they can spend what they won't" "they can replace a 50m player with another 50m player" it's all isn't it so good the rags buying another 60m player!

I suppose that’s the only sort of football they can hope for. Skill & world class abilities are out of their reach -:)

What’s the view on the signing of Ugarte. Dont know much about him
Mediocre player from what I gathered. Only hyped up because of the Red media. Stylistically, your regular midfield destroyer.

People who watched him says he isn't very good, there's a reason PSG is pushing him out.

Don't be surprised the Rags come away disappointed with this signing 6 months later. Like they were with Amrabaat.

€60m for Ugarte? Wow. Ok then. Throw those notes at the shiny new toy! That strategy worked just fine last season, and the season before, and before that.

Anyone get the impression they're a fernandes injury away from a relegation battle?

Exactly. It's one of two reasons (or both):

1) Their recruitment/scouting team isn't as good as they think they have.
2) They are so unattractive as a club that they are shopping in the "footballers with major flaws" department.
