Question - if they are building a 100,000 seater stadium, what will the roof be like? The Nou Camp was an open stadium for its size, granted the rebuild will have a roof but will probably be made of lightweight materials that can withstand the weather in Spain. Stretford in winter when it’s blowing a gale and raining horizontal the swamp will end up taking off.
Well the football on offer won’t raise the roof will it ? This is just pure fantasy on the rag’s behalf and anything involving rat boy and Burnham is doomed from the start

Shit sticks together.

lol I knew it would eventually come to this. So they'll have to fund the £2bn stadium (it will end more like £4bn if they try to go over the canal) let's see what the appetite is for this is now. I also knew there wasn't enough room on the land they owned without tearing down the old stadium. How on earth have they wasted so much on seb coe's task force without knowing this is beyond funny. Andy Burham can fuck off as well, suggesting the freight train station can move to Merseyside??? how does that help Manchester at all? how does that help net neutral targets? it's simply not a feasible plan whatsoever.
The statement actually says "no public money used, at this time". So leaving the door open for future funding.
