the rags must pay a bloody fortune to the BBC in order to get every nomark / celebrity/ athlete in the world on their news outlets just to hear their name every ten minutes or so.

Both the rags and the BBC are a fucking waste of airspace and hopefully will both be as irrelevant as each other very soon, as in non-existant !

I remember when rhe BBC used to produce many excellent programmes.
Unfortunately, those days have long since passed and there haven't been enough good programmes made to justify my continued patronage.
I haven't watched any BBC content for more than 2 years now and haven't missed it at all.
Sad really.

The BBC is precisely the same as all these large, monolithic enterprises - stuck in a period of time that is no longer relevant in this digitalised 21st Century. It is still the BBC of Angela Rippon jumping out from behind the news desk and carrying out a dance routine with Morecambe and Wise. A BBC of John Noakes and 'get down, Shep!' Michael Buerk reporting on the famine-stricken continent of Africa (thereby giving an opportunity of a recording studio opening up on a Sunday for a bunch of perma-tanned, mullet-wearing young hipsters recording a charity Christmas song).
A BBC whose only idea of entertainment is to show yet another episode of Dad's Army, or anything Wallace and Gromit related.

My grandchildren have access to software that enables them to create cartoons as professional as the Pixar stuff of Toy Story, etc. Something that was unheard of 20 years ago. So if primary school children in this day and age have access to such technology why the fuck are the BBC still churning out repeat after repeat of such utter, puerile drivel like Miranda, or Mrs Browns Boys?

A BBC who did everything they could to cover up the disgusting activities of Saville, Rolf Harris, Huw Edwards and a few others. How many more bastard skeletons in the closet of this crumbling establishment that lost touch with its audience 50 years ago?

I remember Durham on talkshite a few years ago, asking for clubs that played in a place that didn’t include their name.

Inevitably, some City fans suggested the rags, to which Durham replied that they have an M postcode, so they must be from Manchester.

As I said to Mrs Vienna at the time, Burnley has a BB postcode, but try telling a Burnley supporter that they are in Blackburn.
