Need's putting to music that article but one thing he's missed out, which I've posted before, is that they have to start refinancing their debt in 2 years and they won't get the low interest rates they pay now (just under 4%), particularly if they're not getting CL income.

The interest on that debt could therefore balloon to something approaching £50m a year, on top of the loss of revenue. Their cashflow is going to take a huge whack. Hopefully it's terminal.
There's also the issue that their best year of the current 3 year rolling PSR period, will drop off at the end of the season/new financial period. As mentioned by @Silva61 in previous reply to me.
That 'good' year of PSR loss was £23m, which is well short of the next 2 'bad' years, and presumably the horrendous one they'll have this year, let alone the coming catostrophic crunch (from multiple places - including yours mentioned) they'll face next year.

In the "City Vs Pl thread", IIRC, it mentioned that PSR was 'left alone' into 25/26 season, which implies that someone wanted it gone (/waves at Scruffy), but for whatever reason the PL couldn't remove it... I guess that'll be because of the City APT victories and the 115 outcome shenanighans?

The only thing i dislike about that article is the assumption that it would only cost 1 billion to build a new stadium, it would be twice that in todays climate

I had an issue with 1741274830326.png
..as the rest of the article demolishes any pretence that they will be/are of any stature.

But given the rest of the demolition in the article I let it go...

What happened to those Pik's they were up to there turkey necks in. Were they ever paid off or just extended?

I just watched last week's Overlap episode (I know..), and there was an entire segment of Neville laying into the United ownership & financial situation and spelling out just how dire everything is for them, it is brilliant viewing.
Poverty porn I thought was a great way to sum that segment!!

I think they were paid off. They were a bloody expensive way to finance the purchase but apart from the Glazers, no one knows how they were paid. I suspect more, less expensive debt but in accounts in the Cayman Islands that we can't see.

That's why I always say there's probably a lot more debt than we know about from the published accounts in the UK we can see.

We travel to Old Toilet on Sunday. Usually im confident however we've struggled against the relegation threatened teams this season.
