These delusional fuckers had the cheek to include them winning 3-0 in their artist impressions of the new stadium, I know stadium renders are often pipe dreams but this is taking things too far
It is a highly delusional bit of work..and I worked on this motherfucker (below)...which was actually built...although now pretty much abandoned and in poor shape.

Cheers. What's the thinking behind it though? Why do they let you off if you're building a new stadium?
They’ll tuck away £50m or so into “feasibility studies” like a certain other team in red and won’t ask for any proof whatsoever of what the spend was on.

They got a £70m dispensation from the PL last year while Everton and Forest were docked points.

It stinks!

Just a thought.
I grew up in Ordsall and remember that area as full of heavy industry and all sorts of traffic going constantly in and out of the place. 60s/70s.
I have just finished watching Toxic Town and surely the land around there must be contaminated too.
Before the CFA could be built I remember City having to decontaminate the whole area.
So who foots the bill for that if it was discovered to be the same?
Might be some undiscovered Luftwaffe bombs around there too.

Did anyone else pick up on what Scruffy Jim said about selling up to the Qataris…

It struck me as a veiled warning to the FA and probably the fanbase too.
I think that's been his game plan all along.

They simply cannot afford a £2bn stadium development.
The only way this gets built is if someone gives them the money, no strings attached.
This is a nonsense proposal from a nonsense club.
I think scruffy Jim has been watching Field of Dreams. 'If you build it they will come' - lol.
Maybe he could divert some of the fantasy £2bn to pay the sponsorship money he still owes to the rugby team?

I did a year at the office just over Blackfriars Bridge in London...back in I think 2009..ish. I had just returned from 12 months in Baku working on some glass stumps for Shephard Robson. I spent most of my time at Big Norms specification writing, visiting the free on site cafe (open 24hours) and generally waking up young Chinese interns who were quite prepared to die at their posts.
Funny Stories! Intelligent management of both time and resources :)

Flagship rag "trident" (almost lost for words:) and surrounding busbyland entertainment theme park and contemplation zone, so bright you can see it from space and so tall that planes have to divert their flightpaths. (?)

Please tell me that "glass stumps" is a cool as shit, throw away reference to them Flame Towers?

EDIT - Just seen that horse! B-Ling! That is the shit man! :)

It's fine if people don't agree, but rag comments are pretty childish.

To say they aren't an attraction any more is just stupid though. What's the point in pretending? Yes, their on field troubles will be causing them issues, but they still have a fanbase that clearly attracts interest. They get 70+ thousand for every game and they have been rubbish for a few years.

According to Deloitte, revenues in 2023/24 were City (€837m) and Utd (€770m), so despite their much lower performance revenue (PL prize money, CL prize money etc) they must still be pulling in commercial revenue that is comparative to ours.
they were in the champions league for 23/24 so you can knock off a huge chunk of that revenue number
