Indeed, jim! Summat we can agree on. I have a double pack in the kitchen cupboard as I type. Get some ready-made puff pastry and yer have the finest sausage rolls yer could make.

It actually makes a really nice sandwich. Add lettuce, spring onion, cucumber, cress and a spoon of Branston's. Nectar of the Gods.

Before he leaves the shop, he puts the Daily Star inside the Mayfair to hide his embarrassment.

An old friend of mine from way back, a painter and decorator, he used to read the Times and do the crossword puzzle, but he didn't want to betray his working class roots so he hid it in a copy of the Sun. True story.
