Who ever comes in is on a hiding to nothing with how impatient as a club and fan base they are. Agent Omar is telling the staff they want to win the league in three years time. They are probably furthest away they’ve been from that since Taggert packed it up, only Mourinho has broken the 80 points mark in that time. The new coach will be having to clear the decks of Ten Hags’ and Solksjaer’s signings with financial fair play looming over them. No wonder scruffy Jim is firing all the support staff and cost cutting. The new manager won’t be shopping at the top table for players as no one worth their salt wants to go there. Whoever takes it will have their work cut out.

Same here. I think they’re desperate though. On the one hand, IIRC if they don’t make it into the CL again this season they lose a shit-ton of adidas money. On the other hand, I really think they’d one eye on a real relegation fight if they’d kept the clown.

I don't think they've got a chance of top 4, they're crap with or without ten hag. they're not 14th crap but not close to top 4 despite the most expensive squad in history. The ones in charge have to know that. They cannot be deluded enough to think they've got a top 4 squad and as much as I'd love to see them in a relegation fight, that's never going to happen.
