Van Nistelroy’s reward for a job well done is his P45.

They’re a class act over at the Old Toilet.

Perhaps. But United might also be working very hard at trying to put two and two together when it comes to upcoming or future City actions and/or plans. And when they happen to think that they have figured out something they might opt to act extremely aggressively. That could also be possible.
I'd almost expect any club to act agressively to steal a march on their rivals but trying to oustsmart your opposition can backfire sometimes. What they think their rivals are going to do could turn out to be wrong. PR37 is a great example and Sanchez is another. I do think they'll recruit better (not difficult!!) with Amorim in the mix.

I actually think that what they have done is bound to fail. The fact that they have actually went out of their way to force/black-mail their new managerial appointment is a great sign of a club that is deeply troubled, driven by short-term + immediate concerns, and devoid of stability/vision. Which is what everyone anyways knows very well about United.

But if bringing Amorin has indeed been part of the Man City plan then they might succeed at very significantly disrupting their closest rival. Stealing their closest rival's ideas, along with disrupting their closest rival, might be their focus especially given the great, great Man City recent success. That could potentially be a concern. But, again, that is just a possibility and a conjecture based on the thus-far easily available information. I don't know if that is actually the case. And I don't really know almost anything about Man City - United relations to know how big of a possibility/likelihood something like that is or could be.

Every time they get a new manager, you realise what a bunch of shithouses all of their players are. They suddenly play to their potential for about six months, revealing that they've basically deliberately been putting fuck all effort in for the previous manager for the majority of his time there. And that'll last until their manager gives them a little bit of criticism and they down tools again. Absolutely toxic squad for a toxic club.
