I just don’t get how giddy supporters of newly promoted teams got when they came to their ground during the GPC era.

Swansea were the worse. Taking photos of the fixtures board and using it as desktop wallpaper, going on and on about “when Man United come to town”. It was cringeworthy 3rd round FA Cup mentality, not the fact they were both in the same league as them and are competing equally. There are 18 other teams in the league as well as them.

As for today, big deal. They are papering over the cracks and at this same time in the Forest game right now vs Southampton, they were 0–1 down, right now Forest are 3-0 up.

When Swansea were promoted to the Premier League they had to write to their season ticket holders to ask them not to wear other teams shirts to games. They had a high percentage of fans wearing United and Liverpool shirts at home games in the lower leagues but they realised that wouldn't be a good look when they were in the same league as them.

Day trippers!

Especially with the tax free loans he helps himself to with his own MUCS Enterprises company, to protect his image rights.
I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the various "tax efficient" wheezes his accountants and IFA's pull off on his behalf, whilst he's demanding that people who earn less in a year than what he earns in a day should be taxed more.
