As has been said before.
When the Rags play to their true level ( bottom six) against a top team they tend to do ok with their backs against the wall.
It’s when they face sides who are just marginally better than them or at the same level they become fucked.

Hes a good manager but walking into a fooking comedy club ...........they will chew him up spit him out and onto the next messiah.
I mean in all honesty what manager including pep could sort that out within 2 years ?????
I say 2 years because you really think the rag base are gonna give anyone 4/5 years to sort that mess out ?????
I can't see Catweazle sacking him, who would want to replace him but I could imagine him resigning even though it's a loss of face for him. Bit of a Catch 22 isn't it? Fun though 8-)

I’m either a heartless bastard or my Bert credentials are beyond reproach.

That made me laugh my head off!

Fuck off you soft twat you’ve not walked 10 foot in our shoes hopefully he hasn’t been allowed to breed.

WTFAMu.

It's the funniest thing I've seen in ages

Isn’t the Waistcoat a rag?

Surely he’d relish the opportunity to manage his boyhood club, wouldn’t he?

They want the whole thing, not 29%

They have made that very clear.

How do they get more control? They know that they were only brought in because the Glazers had fucked it all up. So they've gone in there and taken control of everything, and made it 10 times worse. Why would they do that?

The Glazers don't have any more options. Cash in now, or watch it burn to the ground.
Because Ineos seem to do that to every sporting team they take on, Footie in France, Cycling and the speedy yacht racing thingy.

Thought there was an option for the glazers to buy back Ratcliffe shares!

Yes, the Glazers have the option to force Sir Jim Ratcliffe to sell his shares back to them under certain conditions. Specifically, after an 18-month period from when Ratcliffe's deal was completed, if the Glazers decide to sell the entire club, they can require Ratcliffe's investment vehicle, Trawlers Ltd, to sell all of its shares as part of that full sale. This is known as a "drag-along" right. However, this would only be enacted if Ratcliffe does not want to or cannot match the offer price from a new buyer.

Just been 'discussing' with a rag their current poor performance, he was defending Amorin to say he has no fault in their current position. He was brought in half way through a season and inherited a failing squad... I mentioned that David Moyes is in exactly the same position but has changed things in a positive way at Everton, 4 wins and 1 draw in their last 5 PL games..... So why hasn't the Messiah done the same at the swamp..... All quiet

Our own manager has been shit for a big part of this season, repeatedly using poor tastics for the players we have, etc. And he was a disaster in his first season. Which comes first between tactics and players is not always clear I think. We gave Guardiola the time to get it right and it seems we are doing the same again. It worked before. Hopefully it'll work again.

Amorin could be an awesome manager with the right players. So with time he could be great. But will he get the players, will he get the time, will he get it right even if he got both? No one knows but as always I hope it either stays shit or goes to shit at the first ray of light.

Supporting your club is not about GLORY

United fans demand Glory and winning titles and cups every season, Jose was spot on when saying finishing 2nd to City is a successful season, It was a Champions League place just like City's.

Only Plastic fans support a club for Glory, Proper-born and bread fans turn up every week for the love of their club
Yes, we all moan about how we could do better, but the truth is 96 clubs in the English pyramid and the 3 big prizes are the Premier League Title, FA Cup, League Cup, and 90 odd clubs don't win anything and go again every season.

United and the glory glory man united shit they pipe out before games says it all about that scum club

None of this is new, their struggles and internal problems have been with them since way before that disgusting despot turned up.
They have always been an average mid-table side, nothing to write home about. But the Premier league and money from Sky gave them an advantage no other club -before or since- has enjoyed.
On top of this, and I genuinely believe this to be true, something went on between the club and the powers that be that pretty much put the referees in David Gill and the Pisscan's pockets. There simply is no other rational explanation for the decisions that went in their favour when the drunken despot was in charge.
The blatant one-sidedness they received from the officials only masked over the fact that they were not that good a team.
It would be churlish of me to say they were bad, they weren't. But they were no great shakes either: by and large they failed in Europe despite the absolutely obscene amounts of money they spent, and it was only a change in the rules that allowed them to get into the C.L. - thus giving them even more money with which to bully other clubs into selling their assets. And the other change from which they benefitted was the 'one foreigner' rule that was in place at that time. They had so many non-English players that the rules hampered them so (naturally) yet another change in the rules helped them out.

So as I say, a set of fortuitous circumstances elevated them above their normal status of mediocrity, but now we have a more level playing field so they have once again become the mid-table fodder they have always been.

Well, that's my story, your Honour, and I'm sticking to it!

I remember a rag in work years ago, season ticket holder. His opinion was he believed if united would have changed managers and not stuck with ferguson they would have won more champions leagues. New managers would have come with new ideas.
He said it was evident when European teams come united were sometimes played off the park.
This always got me thinking is that uniteds current problems stem from never moving forward and sticking to a tried and trusted system, fergusons way and only way.
Other teams, City, Liverpool, arsenal, Brighton, Brentford, Fulham appear to have good footballing operations that have moved with the times and are adapting to the evolution of football.
United with Ineos appear to be trying to play catch up with the backroom reshuffle, but the other teams are well established in their process which means for many more years to come they will be always behind the curve.
I hope I am somewhat right because it gives me comfort knowing that ferguson for years made city fans life shit with ridicule from united fans and now it's ferguson giving us years of ridiculing united fans. And long may it continue.

For me, the damning thing is that, despite all their money, they were never innovative in any way. Taggart had a formula and he stuck rigidly to it. If he had a gap in his 4-4-2 system, he just went out a bought a replacement— see Van Persie, Rio et al.
Contrast with Pep. Can you imagine Taggart winning the title with no recognised striker?
