Had talk sport on this morning, i thought id tune in to listen to the meltdown.

Anyway, had the usual ‘and heres tony whos a massive red from ……’, all blaming the glazers and scruffy jim.

Then, to my amazement, they had a fella ring in who, wait for it, blamed GPC!!

“Nobody ever blames fergie , but it was greed with the breeding rights, he put greed over the club and went against mcmanus/magners and we ended up with the glazer”

Fuckin brilliant, horse spunk. That was it.

Our own manager has been shit for a big part of this season, repeatedly using poor tastics for the players we have, etc. And he was a disaster in his first season. Which comes first between tactics and players is not always clear I think. We gave Guardiola the time to get it right and it seems we are doing the same again. It worked before. Hopefully it'll work again.

Amorin could be an awesome manager with the right players. So with time he could be great. But will he get the players, will he get the time, will he get it right even if he got both? No one knows but as always I hope it either stays shit or goes to shit at the first ray of light.
Don’t you think calling Pep a "disaster" in his first season, a little over the top?

He was saddled with an ageing squad, especially at full-back, where pace is essential to his style of play. All four of Zabaleta, Kolarov, Clichy and Sagna moved on at the end of that first term, to be replaced by absolute speed merchants in Walker and Mandy, with Danilo as backup.

And calling a fourth-place finish a "disaster" is fucking disgraceful, IMHO. It’s the sort of comment I’d expect from entitled rags and cheating Arsenal fans.

I'm feeling just a tad sympathetic for Ruben. He left a successful Portuguese side, they loved the guy, gave us a whipping, and then he turns up at the Swamp and sees what dross he has to work with. Silk purses and sows ears come to mind!
In 2 years time he can go back to Portugal with a massive payout in his bank

They want the whole thing, not 29%

They have made that very clear.

How do they get more control? They know that they were only brought in because the Glazers had fucked it all up. So they've gone in there and taken control of everything, and made it 10 times worse. Why would they do that?

The Glazers don't have any more options. Cash in now, or watch it burn to the ground.

The Gazers have made their money back and then some on United, So they could sell for peanuts and still make billions out of the club, What Jim paid for 25% of the shares tripled what the Glazers paid for the whole of United

I think it's now personal with the Glazers and United fans, When you upset somebody or threaten them it becomes personal, The Glazers are not United fans in any way so they don't care, Like I said, why sell up ? It is money for old rope and a win win for the Glazers
Why would the give up the golden goose when they've got scruffy Jim taking all the heat. All the green & gold Glazer out protests have disappeared with few mutterings on twitter

I've loved putting the Sky Sports graphic of net spend since 2019 in a few whatsapp groups today and to sit back and watch the anger.

If we win the 115 case they really do have nothing left, bar pointing out a few empty seats.

Its funny that when Amorim came in I heard United fans say that they'd finish above us this year and also would go very close to finishing top 4

At least one rag sees through the propaganda then. Fair play.

It wasn't a disaster and we finished 3rd under Pep to be fair. Only one place higher though than Pellegrini the previous year with the same players, minus a Gundog and Sane and without the pot Pellegrini won in his final year. Disaster is extreme, it was an anti climax though considering we had just brought in the best manager in the game. As we have found later though, players take that time to adapt to Pep and it is comparable to that first season. New faces, getting to grips with new demands and ageing players that were once always reliable.

I agree with some of that posters points though. Amorin might be alright, he was doing a good job at Sporting and we apparently was sniffing around him (I said apparently) What is great is they may not get to see his true potential and a part of that was winning the FA cup. Now if we could go back to that game and City win I would snatch your hand off but them winning set them back at least another year. They kept Ten Haag off the back of it (everybody knew he'd be sacked this season) but they give him a summer to waste even more money. So now a new manager has had to come in, clear up more of his mess and tried to stamp their own authority i.e Rashford and Garnacho. They are that shit they won't turn anything around this season, so will they pull the plug on another manager? Will they give him a transfer kitty in the summer to try his own methods, but will that then be too late if the confidence and faith is that low in him after the end to this season. Their downfall is a thing of beauty and it gives an ever so slight crumb of comfort from that fa cup final defeat.

Nobody in their right mind would have paid £1.5billion for 25% of the shares, It does not give you a major say on the board for a start, then taking over the football side of things was always going to be downhill because of the debt and PSR, Ok they fudge the Allowances last time but can not do it again when it comes around again,

The Debt is the killer and grows and grows and the interest rates alone are crazy and unmanageable, with the way the rules are set out and the lifestyle United want to be at (challenging for titles) it is going to take a long time

Sheikh Jassim, buying United would be the death of them because all the rules against state-owned clubs, he alone only has £2.5billion to his name and would require his family to back him,

Would be so funny if Sheikh Jassim bought United.. It would mean Manchester City would be the major power in the league and would be a major voice on the EPL board,

I beggin your pardon id my memory is playing rricks but my recollection is that while we were obviously delighted to have Pep and were confident in his hands the first season was not good (pick your own words) ... because he had not yet the time to replace the players.

I'm exaggerating it to show that you can't judge a new manager until they've had time.

Oh Mandy,
You came and you gave without taking,
But I sent you away,
Oh, Mandy!

It does make you wonder what he's getting out of it for the money he's spent. Even if the new ground & government investment comes to fruition it won't be overnight

Zero sympathy here.

He was either incredibly stupid or incredibly egotistical to take on the rag job.
