Found a screenshot of how they're going to do it!

The wording at the footer of this photo looks like it's been taken straight out of the Dipper Cult bible ;-)

I disagree. They have a revolving credit facility of £300m which is meant to smooth out peaks and troughs. They've come close to exhausting that a couple of times as they're regularly using it to prop up inadequate cashflow because they're paying out more than they're getting in.

Yes, they could probably take on more debt but they are definitely in trouble and potentially in danger. If they have to pay a £200m transfer instalment and don't have the cash, they'd have to borrow it or go into administration.

They’d just borrow wouldn’t they? I know that can’t go on indefinitely but given their revenue they won’t struggle to get credit and it sounds like Ratty Jim is making changes to ensure they become more fiscally sound. Point being I can’t see them ever being close to going into administration.

` The Circus Ground` Needs Public Money

Public money IS required for the proposed ` Circus Ground` out of town in Trafford.

Public money is needed to re-locate the huge freight terminal which is needed for the new ground.
It is also needed for more land assembly and acquisition which is crucial to realising the plans.

At the moment this is speculative. The `designs` are conceptual. The build programme is unrealistic. The costs will go beyond £2b.

Unfortunately PR hungry politicians are behind this and Burnham is at his disingenuous best when he started off at MIPIM saying that public money would not be spent on the stadium but failed to say that public money was essential so that the stadium could actually be built.

Hype, smoke, mirrors and attempted deflections from the poor rags side, huge debt, ongoing interest payments, 400 sackings and on the cusp of going bust according to Ratcliffe.

Lets not forget that utd would have failed PSR if not for exceptional allowances up to £70m specially permitted by the Premier League.

Will Ratcliffe get his vanity project in his lifetime?
Will Interim still be there?

`The Circus Ground` can not happen without Man U PLC being publicly funded.

Anyone thinking this will be complete in/by 2030 is delusional.
It may be a 5 year project. i.e the stadium build, but assuming it goes ahead you have at least 5-10 years infrastructure to sort before the stadium can commence.
He 'idea' of using prefab lumps to speed the process is not a new one. All stadiums have at least the precast concrete terraces craned in from offsite delivery, sometimes goes well, other times...not. The millenium stadium floated units in, and busted out Laings who were principal contractors...well over budget.
as for the stadium, I like the design as a stand alone piece, its is funky and spectacular, but...hoplessley out of context with its surroundings, a clear case of 'right tent...wrong desert.
Fosters probably been tinkering with this for years in the hope that they can sell it, this is what happens to keep interns occupied.....the three towers thing has been conveniently shoe horned in to match the 'trident' design philosoph...fluked that one.

I'll guarantee someone will back it before it's built. Don't underestimate the amount of hype around this build. You could sell naming rights right now. A big company would pay good money to have their name on this on every article - they could sell naming rights to stands as well. You can see it now on the BBC, Sky Sports, The Grauniad, The Wall Street Journal, The Shanghai Daily News:

The AT&T Stadium will begin the foundation work in April 2026 and the first stand 'The Smiths Are Shit South Stand' will be started in July 2026 followed by 'The Elon to Mars Stand', then 'The Findus Fish Fingers Stand' and lastly 'The Morocco Why Did You Steal Our Design Stand'.

This stuff writes itself. They'll sell everything.

And the Sky documentary.

I don't usually think about these tw@s but for some reason this Ratcliffe/ Scarecrow character reminded me of another delusional idiot that came to their ground...

Michael Knighton, anyone...?
Didn't Edwards basically Knighton's ideas though? Thought i'd read somewhere that the success the Rags had was all down to them stealing all his plans.

Would the summer be potentially problematic for them when clubs have a drop in cash flow from no match day revenue. City have taken out loans during the summer months to bridge that period over.

It's all media hype. Some silly Villa fan phoned Talkshite last night to say Rashford is back to his best - mentioned him as a goalscoring talent. I'm sure if you put the cunts goalscoring record in front of this tube he'd probably think it was fake news.
He hasn't scored yet and being talked about an England recall ffs

This time of year tends to be the trickiest from a cash point of view. You get most of the PL/UEFA money in the summer along with some in January after the initial CL/EL stages. The rest of the time clubs are mainly reliant on matchday revenue.

I agree.
Burnham is fooling no one re the no public money line.

Not a fucking chance that stadium will ever be built. Just bollocks from the rags to try stay relevant as they keep sinking down the league
Exactly - the stadium that ends up getting built will bear no resemblance to that render... the big top/tent looking bit is supposedly glass... which will then mean the frame of it will be steel... the costs will skyrocket worse than Wembley and all that glass will be an absolute nightmare with the weather we get... add to that the dirt, bird shit, breakages etc., the maintenance required will be ridiculous, especially as Scruffy Jim won't even pay a tea lady!
And that's before taking into account it looks ridiculously intricate – it just won't be made in that form.

I would expect the glass to be replaced with some Ineos Plastic sheeting ;)

Glass roof you say.......

Just for arguments sake.
If a stone was projected from Chester Road.

How big would the catapult have to be?

Roughly.

I can amend the elastic after the first shot.
Ergh a friend can
Hypothetically speaking.
Honest
