As per the Mirror, United want to offload as many as nine players once the transfer window reopens so they can draw up a stunning £200m (€230m / $262m) ‘war chest’.

Even if they scrape a few quid selling some of their misfits they are still many years away from competing. So many other clubs in a better state than them, the best they could hope to do is to consolidate a mid table position. Personally I think they're finished as a competitive club and hopefully they'll will wither away and die.
