If Bilbao don't turn it around midweek and then West Ham beat the rags next Sunday we could have a situation where a team sitting immediately above the relegation zone will have a one off game to get into the 'Champions' league. What an absolutely farcical situation.

I agree with you, but some of the teams in the initial 32 wouldn't do well in the championship.
Having an embarrassing run in the chumps league could do more harm than good for utd or spurs.

Whats right annoying that the likes of Villa who had a good run in CL , FA cup semis and battling for top 5 may not get CL next season but spurs or this lot can produce rubbish most of the season and get a CL spot.
Same goes for Forest who could end up with feck all to show at the end of he season
