This is awful - they may be rags but real people with mortgages etc. How can what has happened at the swamp be ok and City are the "rule breakers"?
Most wont be rags. My pal who is a liverpool fan and worked in maintenance at the swamp was in that boat. Its just a job

He said its a hideous toxic place to work. Got a job at city now, said its like a breathe of fresh air

They should be banned for adding anymore debt onto the club and not allowed to spend another £200m on transfers until they sort their finances out! Disgraceful way to treat working class people.
I've got a better idea.

It's called "bankruptcy".

Much more fun to watch.

im not so sure there coming clean at this point concerning the amount of debt there in, to try and save what basically is a few bob on wages in the football finance world things must be pretty much dire, i dont know if your post was in jest or hope but it could actually happen in the real world, all it takes if for those shares on wall St to hit a certain low point and the panic sets in.investors get spooked then BOOM there out of business ;-)

Would be phenomenal if Fernandes left for Saudi. He’s their only bright light in the sea of shit. Take him out and they’re left with very little hope or imagination.

It would be glorious.

I wonder if they’re forced to sell…

The billionaires involved could absorb those costs, it’s minimal but they hate the poor fuckers. Whilst they are able to sacrifice those on the breadline they can at least feel that they are progressing. The irony is in their heads they blame the minimum hour workers for their shit decisions.

The cunts!

Surly if you want to save serious money you would look at the high earners not the minions

The high earners will all have agents and watertight contracts etc. Easier to get rid of the lower paid people. The fact that the high earners got them into this financial quagmire in the first place doesn't count for anything sadly.

Went to Lancashire cricket ground today to buy a book. Got talking to the bloke in charge at the car park (turns out he's red shite). When I told him I was City he said he'd hate to have owners like ours because they're ruthless and Pep would be sacked if he hadn't won what he has.
YCNMIU.

It's always been the same in any industry and job. Somebody new takes over or a new boss is installed and the usual rhetoric is trotted out.
"Rationalisation, tighten the belts, restructuring, rerostering" blah blah fucking blah. The weary workforce just know it means job cuts and those that remain working harder and longer for the same pay or less. Oh but of course they're lucky they still have a job, rinse and repeat, year after year, decade after decade.
